The CARE peer educators advance gender equity and confront rape culture through educational advocacy, awareness-raising, and meaningful student engagement with campus leaders, administrative offices, and community stakeholders. They help to create safer, trauma-informed spaces for survivors and allies, plan culturally-competent health communication events, and conduct peer-to-peer training surrounding consent and healthy relationships. They are the student outreach arm for OSAPR, serving as liaisons, interpreters, and translators between the office and the student body.
